Not only am I obsessed with fashion, but I’m also obsessed with food as well! Last night, we had a rare casual night out with friends, and we did what we do best, eat! We dined at one of our favorite Vietnamese restaurant, Saigon Bistro, that so happened to have THE BEST crawfish in Chicago. Trust. Me! Good company and good food, it can’t get any better than that!
The funniest thing happened while my dad babysat the kids last night. I asked my dad to put Cole to sleep in his crib, which he did. I saw on the Foscam camera that he walked into the room fifteen minutes later to check up on him and was stroking Cole’s forehead to sleep. I then spoke into the monitor ordering my dad to leave. He told me today he almost peed himself because he got so spooked. Lol. I don’t know why we waited till kid #3 to finally purchase a video monitor/camera of some sort, but it’s the BEST THING EVER! I especially love the function where you can speak into the camera so if the boys were acting crazy, we wouldn’t have to keep running up and down the stairs to scowl at them.
Before taking both LWG and Cole for their check-up at the pediatrician (6 months and 2 year), we stopped by our old hood because Little G has been asking to play at that particular park. It’s one of the largest park in the city. Coming here makes me miss my city living even more. I know, I know, I talk about how much I miss my old stomping grounds, a lot, but I can’t help it! I miss my daily walks to the grocery store, the noise, the crowds, inner city traffic, just about everything!
My LWG, photo bombing, as usual! Lol. This photo cracks me up because this is soooo him. Always doing what he’s not supposed to be doing and always adding humor to his mischiefs.
Both my Little G and LWG are obsessed with trains. It’s a good thing they love the same toys so we don’t have to double up on them. We live just blocks from the train station so we’ve taken so many trips there just to see the trains pass by. We’ve even brought our dinner there. Lol. It’s fun and FREE entertainment for the boys! Woo hoo. Anything to keep them quiet. On days where we have nothing plan, I’ll pack up the boys and schlep them into the city just to ride the “L” train. Another cheap entertainment for them that they love. It’s amazing how well behaved they are when we’re doing things they love.
What do you do for fun with your kids that’s free or light on the wallet?
What I Wore-
This top from Nasty Gal just recently sold out but you can get on the waiting list here. Here are some that are similar.
It seems only fitting to kick off the first day of autumn with a little pumpkin patch fun! We’ve been experiencing a glorious Indian Summer here in Chicago, which gives me the perfect opportunity to keep on wearing dresses for a little longer. This Route 32 patchwork dress is fun and flirty, yet still seasonally appropriate and comfortable for romping around Goebbert’s Farm with my small army. Little G’s favorite thing to do here is to feed the animals, especially the giraffe and zebra!
Here’s a little fall inspo, from me to you – blanket scarves, leather boots, flare jeans, and warm, rich colors, this season’s top trends at amazing price points – and guaranteed to look en pointe with your Pumpkin Spice Latte. Go ahead, indulge!
