Lol. Yup, if you haven’t already figured it out, I LOVE the color red. Also yellow. I’ve owned red cars, red shoes (still dreaming of those red-lacquered sole shoes!), even food that’s got rich color in them will catch my eyes and I’ll pick that dish over any dish. I’ve read somewhere once that the color for the zodiac sign Aries is red. I laughed out loud when I read it. Haha. So does loving red means I’m a firecracker? You betcha!!
This week’s gloomy weather got me wishing for last week’s Indian Summer again. The great part about being home all day was I got a lot of cleaning done! Woo hoo. The kids love it when I vacuum, Cole especially. He crawls and follows the vacuum around from room to room. Not the least bit afraid. Packed up newborn clothes (sniff, sniff) and dropped them off to donate. I’m typically not home much. We’re usually out first thing in the morning, come home for naps, and we’re out the door again as soon as they wake. Yes, even with three kids in tow. The reason being is because 1. I can’t sit still and like to be out and about 2. It’s more work for me to stay home cleaning up after the kids and 3. They drive me less crazy when we’re out. Shockingly, they did well today for being home almost all day. I always wonder what mom’s do all day to entertain their kids when they’re home? Especially with those cold winter months around the corner, what do mom’s with multiples do to keep them busy at home without parking them in front of the tv? I feel guilty doing that sometimes to 1. keep me sane and 2. keep them from driving each other crazy!
If you haven’t already seen me talking about this dress on Instagram, I’m going to repeat this, I love this dress so much I own it in three colors. It’s so soft and very flattering on!
The Giant and I got to play dress up and attended the unveiling of the new Mini Clubman. Since we’ve owned two Mini’s in the past, we got to attend this private viewing for past owners. Let me tell you, I’m NOT a car person. At all. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our previous Mini’s. We owned a Cooper and Cooper S in the past and it was SO MUCH FUN driving it and yes, there was plenty of leg room for my 6’6″ Giant. The new Clubman is absolutely stunning and the craftsmanship they put into it was just flawless. All the details the designers poured into this car is just top notch. As an artist, I can appreciate how Mini showcased the handiwork of local Chicago artists through the story of craftsmanship, which Mini embraces with their new Clubman. I got to see some of the craftsmen in action. My favorite was watching a cobbler from Oak Street Bootmakers handcraft boots in front of us. My first time seeing! Thanks Mini, for getting us out of the house and having us. Bravo on the Clubman, bravo!
Sorry, I didn’t bring my flash to the event to photograph this gorgeous car nor was I aware photography was allowed. Isn’t it just stunning?!
