I call these my ‘lazy day’ winter boots. They’re super comfortable, plush and, best of all, WARM! My girlfriend and I had some downtime a few weekends ago so we headed to Cortland’s Garage for some yummy burgers. We had a couple hours to leave the kids at home (thank you, hubbies!) so I took advantage to wear this cozy look while we chowed down on decadently greasy bar food and then strolled it off around downtown. Who else loves a sleeveless sweater dress this season? I paired it with these tall suede boots from Payless ShoeSource, and its faux fur trim and lining kept my bare legs warm. I love the versatility of these boots – you can wear them folded down or unfolded as an over-the-knee boot as I have done here! Afterwards, I had date night planned with The Giant, so before I went to meet him, I slipped into these easy tassel pumps with the perfect heel height – a surefire way to dress up a cozy look and still be comfortable!
The boots are on sale under $35 and the pumps are just $18! Whether you’re running errands and shopping for the holidays, enjoying a night on the town or cozying up by the fireplace, Payless has you covered with a variety of on-trend styles that won’t break the bank. For more cozy styles, I also love these whiteout weather boots, these toggle closure boots, and these moccasin-inspired flats.
This season my ultimate holiday party look includes luxe velvets, pleats, and of course, the perfect strappy heel, because we all know it’s the shoes and accessories that turn a pretty dress into a standout look. You know, the kind that has heads spinning and jaws dropping. From work happy hours to merry dinners with friends, there are a million opportunities to showcase your holiday style but only one way to look flawless on a budget and Payless ShoeSource has you covered for all your feet candy needs!
For a recent holiday dinner out I paired this sexy, simple strappy heel from Payless with a metallic velvet dress. This shoe has the perfect heel height – it’s not too high and not too low and looks so pretty when you’re twirling the night away! Topped off with a leather moto jacket (and don’t forget to accessorize with a shiny clutch), the whole look exudes a vintage glam vibe that is both flattering and romantic. Whether you’re running errands on the weekend or cozying up by the fireplace, look no further than Payless for a variety of on-trend footwear that won’t break the bank. The new holiday collection from Payless is killing it and if you love to dress for the occasion like me, then you will want to also snap up this red suede lace-up pump(only $15!), this python mule, and this leopard suede caged pump before they’re gone!
These days it’s all about comfort, which is why today on the blog I am talking affordable everyday shoes that look polished and weekend ready. Being a busy mom doesn’t mean you can’t have style. Every year around this time I like to hoard a few new shoes to take me through the holiday season, and with Payless I’m not breaking the bank! Payless currently has a ton of great new styles for every holiday occasion, which you can check out for yourself here.
For a day on the go, I am loving these zip ankle booties. They’re sturdy, stylish, and under $30 on sale right now, so you really can’t go wrong! Keep your look classic by pairing it with your fave skinny jeans and cozy holiday sweater if you’re running about town with your kiddos. Or dress it up with a mini skirt and leather moto jacket for a Red Cup coffee date. The everyday fashion possibilities are endless when you have an easy peasy shoe like this! Personally, I love the dual zippers and the ease of slipping in and out of it… cuz ain’t no momma got time to mess with laces! I also like this tan mule, this brick red suede pointed bootie, and this tassel loafer . If you want to add a bit of edge to your weekend errands, try on this black suede bootie with cutouts for maximum style impact!
Do you remember shoe shopping at Payless as a kid with your parents? When I was little, my parents always bought our back-to-school shoes at Payless because it was affordable and a one-stop shop for the whole family. Later as a teenager, I saved up my own money to buy “fun fashion shoes” from there, which is what I used to call any shoe that wasn’t a sneaker. (Even then I appreciated the power of high heels!) Now as a mom myself of three boys, I carry on that back-to-school shoe shopping tradition at Payless. But I’ll be honest, I haven’t shopped there for myself in years, so when Payless reached out to me to try some of their new women’s styles, I was game.
With fall approaching, I’ve been feeling all sorts of heart eyes for cognac shoes. I love this Havana Huarache Block Heel, which has a woven upper design reminiscent of the traditional Mexican sandal. This shoe from Payless has an updated huarache caged design and 3.5” block heel. I walked all day in these when we took the boys into the city by train to eat at Chicago French Market downtown – and my feet didn’t hurt once! I’m pleasantly surprised to find that Payless has upped their style (and quality) game for women’s shoes since my teenage years, and I wouldn’t mind also adding these lace-up block heels or these red wedges to my current “fun fashion shoe” collection.
My oldest boy, Roman, is wearing the Boy’s Rieder Mid-Top Skate, his first pair of “big boy shoes” (aka it has legit laces) – and he’s as excited as can be to learn how to tie shoes! I love the Boys’ Toddler Benton Boat Shoe for my three-year old, Rhys, because it has a Velcro tab which makes it super easy for him to slip it on and off by himself. (Though he was a teeeeeny bit disappointed to find that this shoe doesn’t have mini side pockets like the KangaROOS) And finally, baby Cole has on the Boys’ Toddler Preston Casual, which comes in a preppy dark gray with brown accents – the perfect neutral go-to shoe for anything he wears!
